The historic UGI Building at 1401 Arch Street underwent a renovation into One City luxury apartment homes. Renovated amenities include upgraded community spaces such as the lobby lounge, a technologically connected fitness center, and a beautiful rooftop sky lounge overlooking City Hall.
The roof of 1401 Arch, previously unused space, was transformed to usable shared space for the building’s tenants. Eureka furnished and installed both black aluminum guardrails and glass railings on the roof. In order to safely and effectively distribute the materials to the roof, Eureka had to crate the glass and use a boom lift to transfer it to the roof.
One of the more difficult aspects of this project included the replacement of very large glass, approximately 10 ft x 10 ft, on the ground floor of the building. The size and weight of the oversized glass required a large crew of 9 glaziers to handle it which made the replacement challenging.
Other installations by Eureka include storefronts on the ground floor and mezzanine levels, as well as bathroom mirrors throughout approximately 340 apartments.
